Cave Raider - a simple top down shooter game created by Antonio "toneddu2000" Latronico for the Cave Engine Game Jam 2025.
A simple top down shooter game set in a cave environment with lots of enemies, powerups and unlockable contents! All contents (code, models, textures, animations, sounds and music) created by me with the awesome Cave game engine!
Controls: A + W (turn left / right), Mouse 1 (Fire), Shift to sprint(only if Sprint Power Up is unlocked)
3 weapons - laser beams, machinegun and rocketlauncher (although rocket launcher is not spawn somehow)
You kill spiders in cave, get gems, and unlock powerups with them. Try to reach level 10!
Bugs:
- sometimes view becomes Jigger, no idea why
- when you leave Powerups menu, sometimes player controls are jammed, press W and A continuosly will fix it
- Powerups menu has no gem cost for each powerup, I forgot about it. It's: Ultra Damage = 6 gems, Extra Health = 4 gems, Unlock Sprint= 2 gems, Double Gem Pickup = 5 gems
Lots to fix but right now I'm wasted

The look and feel game is very neat even if it was made in a few hours. Simple and intuitive controls that make the game fun. Maybe the graphics of the shots could be improved. It should be expanded because it could become a very interesting game. Bravo!!!!
